Recently I stopped by Tonino’s Pizza for lunch. Tonino’s has multiple establishments scattered across Pennsylvania with a history that dates back to 1977 with founder Antonio Illiano who learned how to cook from his parents while living in Fusaro, Italy.
This was my first trip to Tonino’s Pizza and here are my notes.
The restaurant was clean and properly stocked. The employees greeted you as you walked through the doors and were promptly ready to serve you. Different menu items appear in the window. These items mainly included specialty pizza’s which you can order by the slice. Everything appeared to be baked fresh and looked delicious.
The menu is extensive. Everything from pasta to pizza to cheesesteaks to wraps. Tonino’s Pizza is way more than just a pizza place. Upon inspecting the menu items I noticed how inexpensive everything was. Here are a few examples below that I copied down from their take home menu:
French Fries – $3.00
Turkey Bacon Ranch Wrap – $6.50
Cheese Pizza Slice – $2.00
Italian Cheese Steak – $6.50
Pepperoni Rolls with Sauce – $3.00
Fettuccine Alfredo – $9.00
Upon ordering your food the chefs prepare your order for you. Seating is available at the restaurant. The food arrives hot and smells, looks, and taste fantastic.
I spent six dollars and felt completely satisfied with my experience. The presentation was great and flavorful. The sauce was not overly salty and tasted like it was prepared that very day.
