The Spotlight – Arrowhead Restaurant

Meatloaf Dinner Special and a Coffee

Recently my girlfriend and I stopped for lunch at the Arrowhead Restaurant in Milton, PA. The Arrowhead has been serving local residents for over 65 years in the area. Right away as you pull into their parking lot it’s clear of the native American theme which makes the location a unique stop for curious drivers passing by on Route 405. As you walk through the door things start unraveling for better or worse. Firstly, you must seat yourself which is not obvious to customers dining in for the first time. Waitresses are usually handling other patrons and you’re not paid much attention to until a few minutes after sitting down. Once you receive the menu you have many classic meal options to choose from. Ranging from very low-priced burgers to dinner options such as meatloaf which is what I ordered for around nine dollars. We placed our orders which took about 10 minutes to prepare before being served to us. Overall the quality and taste were ‘OK’ in the best sense of the word. The meatloaf was lukewarm. The mashed potatoes tasted fine. The roll and muffin were not soft which was disappointing so I didn’t bother eating them. The food was comparable to a high school lunch. Overall I wish I felt more of a “family” atmosphere while dining in. The employees seemed very flustered and there was even a moment where a manager on duty got frustrated and spoke loud enough to attract attention from everyone dining in. I didn’t feel very “welcomed” which is only intensified from the confusing aspects of their service. From sitting down to paying your bill you are uninformed from the very moment you walk through the door. Their restaurant motto is “If you see us, we will serve you.” I feel that is appropriate. They don’t need to serve you but they will if you choose to dine in. The atmosphere is neat, the food is bland, the dining experience is confusing, but the prices aren’t bad. Thanks for reading our review of the ARROWHEAD RESTAURANT.

THE GOOD:

Arrowhead Restaurant certainly pays homage to our Native Americans.
